Neon!

Yestarday I was walking around shops and I realised that the Neon "Fever" is everywhere now! I can say I love it. The only problem with this is that all the 12-17 years old girls will wear it and probably they will do it wrong. Anyway, fashion is different for everyone. Alice in DarkLand (Final Major Project)

After a really busy week (work and college) I want to post the dresses that I've done during the last weeks for my Final Major Project. My subject was about Alice in Darkland. A bit strange, ha? Well, it's Alice in Wonderland, but I've done some research in the story behind Wonderland and that's why it's DarkLand not Wonderland. Anyway my dresses are inspired by the symbols and objects in Wondeland

This is inspired by the bottle & the muffin cases that Alice used to eat everywhere :)

I don't have a picture with the red dress. It's inspired by the playing cards. The front is quite simple but the back has some ribbons with the Red Queen's quote ( Off With Her Head)

This is the red roses (that the queen wanted) it's backless and with that big rose petals in the front :)

There is also one inspired by a teacup but I don't have a picture right now.

Style Icon! Leighton Meester

 I really like Leighton's Style. 

And not because I'm one of those girls, obsessed with Gossip Girl.

But I have to admit that I found out about her in Gossip Girl. 

Anyway.

 I think her style is unique and confident. She's not affraid of wearing...I can say Strange combinations of colours. 

And i don't know if it's just me, but she's not wearing jeans at all?!

 I made a selection of Leighton's outfits above...

Ok...I think this stripped dress and the red shoes would be boring on someone else. Everyone is wearing Black White and Red... But she's natural and I think a outfit can be changed by the person who's wearing it.

I think this one is a image from Gossip Girl. I love her Moschino cherry print dress and I think she's wearing a lot of accesories but without ruining the outfit.

 I don't really know if she was wearing this dress in Gossip Girl. But this lovely floral print and the waist belt reminds me of the old and retro photos of my mom.

As I said "strange" colours. Dark grey, light pink... I think it's just about her. 

About the way she's wearing the clothes.

A lovely dress with a big ribbon in front. The print and the colours are just amaizing. I think the belt and the shoes are a little bit boring but she has a red ribbon for the dress.

 Her coats... I think if you say the word coat, your first tought is Leighton. She has a huge collection of coats. And she's very brave.

 For example I wouldn't wear a bright colour for a coat. 

And about this coat I think is amaizing. 

But the green scarf it may be a little bit too much.

 A outfit with many bright colours. 

Yellow, green... Something that makes you think about Paris and summer. 

I don't like the shoes. I wouldn't wear those shoes for this outfit.

 Perfect?! I can tell that sparkling and shine things are not my cup of coffee. 

But I love the Handbag, the Jacket and the Shoes 

 Many different prints with nude shoes. I love it but I'm not that brave.

 This one is a photo from gossip girl for sure. 

But i like the way she's playing with the colours.

I don't want to have a description on my blog. So...That means that in my first post on this blog I need to explain everyone what is this about. 

First of all... My name is Ioana Cimpean (IC). I'm from Romania, but i'm studying Art and Design in London.
